Istanbul Modern opened its doors as Turkey’s first museum of modern and contemporary art, and has played an important role in Istanbul’s cultural and artistic life. In addition to hosting prominent national and international exhibitions, the museum have organizes educational programs for children, youth and adults, film screenings, social projects and more.

Admissions: Tuesday – Sunday 10.00 am – 06.00 pm

Tips & Things to Know Before You Attend: Since its opening, the museum has hosted 8.5 million visitors and 850 thousand children and young people have benefited from its free education programs. Please note that the museum is open until 08.00 pm on Fridays. Visitors, accompanied by infants in the “6 month to 4 year” age group, may borrow strollers free of charge or they are welcome to bring their own.
