#Culture

Despite being overlooked by visitors, one of the hidden gems of Istanbul Fener District and Balat District are one of the best Instagram locations in Istanbul that will produce you great photos that savor history. On the route, there are centuries-old churches and synagogues, restaurants, cozy cafes, and most importantly, colorful sidewalks and houses that leave visitors in awe. Walk through the Kiremit Street and Merdivenli Yokus Street to experience these pink, orange, blue, red, and even grey pastel colored houses, before stopping for a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Another fun thing about Balat is the antique selling since the Ottoman Empire, make sure to watch a lively bidding on a daily auction at the area’s many antique shops. You can enjoy guided tours or choose to explore these popular tourist locations yourself.
